Here at Live Against the Tide, we firmly believe that you were put here on earth to fulfil a specific purpose! In order to pursue that purpose, you have to have a balance across the entire wellness spectrum.
However, society these days could be pulling you in a direction that may have you prioritizing some areas of that spectrum over others. In our line of work, we come across those who either neglect or prioritize ONLY the physical dimension of wellness. That approach to wellness has led to the “Fitness is A Lifestyle" nonsense that permeates our culture today. |
The emphasis our world has placed on the physical, financial, and occupational dimensions of life makes enjoying what they already have a real struggle for some people.
Instead, many continuously compare what they have and how they look to what others have and how others ook. Our purpose at LATT is to help you prevent letting that happen to yourself. At Live Against the Tide, we empower our team members to fight against Society's pull and pursue their purpose. By providing education, accountability, our personal insights, and a supportive community we enable our clients to better use fitness and nutrition as tools. Which in turn makes balance across the entire wellness spectrum more attainable. |

We are confident that we can get you where you want to be. |
Coach HawkWhen I attended the University of South Alabama I studied biology and played football.
During that season of my life I became obsessed with anatomy and physiology. Early on as I progressed through my teams strength and conditioning program; I began to see clearly how the principles I was learning in the classroom applied to the training our strength and conditioning coach was putting us through. In 2014, I graduated with a biology degree and a developing passion for using exercise and nutrition as tools for helping others think, feel, and move better. READ MORE
Soon after college and a brief stint as a janitor and middle school sports coach; I joined the military to serve others and finance my passion. I joined the Air Force already in great shape but the 24- hour demand of active service made it difficult to prioritize my training. I wanted to train and truly understood how vital it was to my performance in all other areas of life. Still, there were so many other demands on my time, and I needed to learn how to better work towards several goals simultaneously. Putting my passion on the back burner and ignoring its value was something I just could not do, so I had to learn how to make it work. Early in my military career, while stationed in Okinawa, Japan, I won 2 NPCJ Light Heavy Weight bodybuilding championships- an achievement I attribute to a deep understanding of training and nutrition principles. Without that educational foundation, I wouldn’t have had time to experiment with what might have worked for me. Thanks to my educational foundation and time spent in college under an amazing strength coach I knew what to do and why I needed to do it. Live Against the Tide was birthed out of lessons learned while prepping for those two bodybuilding championships. During that time I had been so dialed in on my physique and how it looked that I neglected many other areas of my life. Although I had obtained the shredded physique that society tells us is most desirable, I was not content. I began to think critically about other “things” that we chase just because society tells us too that never really fulfill us. Since then I have been committed to keeping fitness in its proper place in my life and now I help my clients do the same. By teaching them to use fitness and nutrition as tools that help them live out their God given purpose. |
COACH LIDIAGrowing up in Sicily, I was always outdoors enjoying the beach and from a very early age developed a passion for being active.
That passion for moving and staying active started in ballet and transitioned into a love of weight training. Over the past ten years, I have been committed to learning all I can about using exercise and nutrition as tools to help others. This passion eventually led me to pursue and earn an EQ4 personal trainer certification. I then worked in Europe as a personal trainer for three years, which allowed me to gain a ton of in-person experience. READ MORE
The time that I have spent living in England, Ireland, and Italy has allowed me to train women located all over Europe. Having so many clients in different locations is what led me to add Online Coaching to my services. The distance coaching option allows me to maintain those connections with the woman that I coached in the past who no longer live close. Since adding online services, those connections have extended to locations worldwide, ranging from Japan to Germany and across the Atlantic to Las Vegas. Those team members can still train and get the same results they would have had if we were still in the same location. Without the mind, I believe that the body cannot lead us to the contentment and level of fulfillment that we are all truly after. For this reason, I never train anyone with the sole aim of growing their glutes, getting a thigh gap, or a six-pack. Health, well-being, and the strengthening of self-esteem are always at the center of my training programs. Not that our gym performance dictates or defines our worth, but our practice of setting and sticking to our fitness goals is a way of cultivating self-esteem and reminds us of that worth. When it comes to taking care of my clients, I believe that developing a personalized program is essential to their success. As I design my client's program, I follow sound training principles and avoid implementing any ineffective but popular approaches marketed online. For this reason, I believe it is essential to be always in touch with my athletes tracking their performance and ensuring that they understand what we are doing and why we are doing it. I aim to be a resource and support agent for those women who genuinely want to feel, think, and move better. After joining LATT, I hope that you understand and are confident that you are far more than what your body looks like. You have a purpose far more significant; maintaining a body capable of pursuing that purpose is what matters most. |
AboutLATT's motivation is to create a group of people who look at fitness as a tool and not a lifestyle. We encourage our clients to use fitness as a way of further equipping them to pursue their individual purpose.
